I was just listening to a This American Life episode about breakups and they talked about the saddest, most pathetic kind of breakup anthem, the torch song (ie “You Don’t Have To Say You Love Me” by Dusty Springfield).

In the aftermath of Amy Winehouse’s death, I found myself listening to this song of hers, one of the most heartbreaking and beautiful torch songs I’ve ever heard. It’s honestly making me tear up a little.

RIP Amy - I hope you find some peace now.
